  • This brief 15-minute introduction is a dedicated space to establish rapport, clarify your concerns, and decide if we are a good fit for working together. During this time, we will:

    • Connect & Inform: Discuss the counsellor’s role, fees, and confidentiality.

    • Align Goals: Briefly explore your expectations and our therapeutic approach.

    • Discuss Next Steps: Answer your questions and agree on scheduling and paperwork.

The consultation ensures a safe, collaborative start tailored to your needs. Please keep in mind that this initial meeting is an overview and does not go into depth regarding your specific concerns.

  • Individual counselling sessions provide a confidential, one-on-one space to explore personal challenges, develop coping strategies, and work toward specific goals. Sessions are tailored to your needs and last 50 minutes, focusing on practical tools and supportive guidance to promote lasting change.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy method used to help people process and reduce the emotional distress tied to traumatic memories. Sessions typically include:

    • Assessment and preparation: The therapist gathers history, identifies target memories and symptoms, builds safety skills and grounding techniques.

    • Targeting and processing: The client focuses on a selected distressing memory while following sets of bilateral stimulation (commonly therapist-guided eye movements, taps, or sounds). This helps the brain reprocess the memory, reducing its intensity and changing negative beliefs linked to it.

    • Installation and body scan: Positive beliefs that replace the old negative ones are strengthened, and the therapist checks for lingering physical tension associated with the memory.

    • Closure and reevaluation: Each session ends with grounding strategies to ensure stability. Subsequent sessions reassess progress and may address additional targets.

    • 50 minute session

EMDR is evidence-based for PTSD and can also help with anxiety, phobias, complicated grief, and other trauma-related issues. Sessions vary in length and number depending on the person and the complexity of their concerns.

  • 80 minute sessions.

Recommended for deep-dive work or those who prefer a slower, more spacious pace.

Administrative Flat Fees: For very simple documents (like a "proof of attendance" or "back to work" letter) fees range from $30-$50.

Complex Clinical Reports: For detailed assessments, legal reports, or insurance summaries that require hours of drafting and file review, can cost up to $250.00.
