Couples therapy using the Gottman Method offers a practical, research-based path to rebuild friendship, restore trust, and bring back joy to your relationship. At One Collective Therapy, we guide couples through structured, skill-based sessions that target the real drivers of relational distress and teach tools you can use every day. If you’re in need of immediate help, please call 9-8-8 or refer to our list of crisis lines.

  • This brief 15-minute introduction is a dedicated space to establish rapport, clarify your concerns, and decide if we are a good fit for working together. During this time, we will:

    • Connect & Inform: Discuss the counselor’s role, fees, and confidentiality.

    • Align Goals: Briefly explore your expectations and our therapeutic approach.

    • Discuss Next Steps: Answer your questions and agree on scheduling and paperwork.

The consultation ensures a safe, collaborative start tailored to your needs. Please keep in mind that this initial meeting is an overview and does not go into depth regarding your specific concerns.

  • The mandatory first-session assessment (Gottman approach) lasts 80 minutes and focuses on building safety and rapport while gathering a clear picture of the relationship’s strengths, problems, patterns, and goals. Using the Sound Relationship House as a guiding map, the therapist begins to outline the couple’s conflict dynamics, identifies any immediate risks (e.g., domestic violence, substance misuse, suicidal ideation) to plan for safety, and establishes therapy structure, informed consent, confidentiality limits, and practical details like session frequency and fees.

  • 50 minute couple sessions begin after the initial assessment and focus on building communication, trust, and shared goals tailored to your relationship’s needs. Sessions explore patterns, teach practical skills for conflict resolution and emotional connection, and create a collaborative plan to support lasting change.

  • 80 minute couple sessions

Our most popular choice for couples, allowing ample time for both partners to feel heard.

Complex Clinical Reports: For detailed assessments, legal reports, or insurance summaries that require hours of drafting and file review, can cost up to $250.00.
