Youth Aging Out Of Care
We offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk about your experiences and take charge of your next chapter.
Aging out of care is one of life’s biggest transitions, and it can feel both exciting and overwhelming. While the system may have made many decisions for you in the past, this next chapter is about your voice, your choices, and your healing.
Whether you want a safe space to reflect on your journey so far, or support navigating the practical and emotional challenges of independence, we are here to walk alongside you. You don’t have to face this transition alone.
Support You Can Count On
We understand that financial barriers shouldn't stand in the way of your wellness. To support your journey, we offer:
Discounted Sessions: We provide a sliding scale and reduced rates specifically for youth in transition. Please reach out to discuss a rate that works for your current situation.
SAJE Funding: If you are between the ages of 19 and 26, you may be eligible for the SAJE Mental Health and Counselling Benefit. You can check your eligibility here.
This program provides up to $1,500 per year for specialized counselling.
We can help you coordinate with your SAJE Guide or Navigator to ensure your sessions are covered.
Ways We Can Walk With You
Our approach blends Indigenous ways of knowing with research-based tools that respect your lived experience. We focus on:
Reclaiming Identity – Moving from “youth in care” to an adult shaping your own future.
Managing Stress – Honouring how challenging can be to adapt to completely new routines, expectations, and responsibilities.
Navigating Relationships & Boundaries – Strengthening your confidence so you can clearly identify, build, and maintain healthy, safe connections with others.
